HP/Telenomics
Alliance:
No Crossed Wires
HP counts its recent strategic alliance with Telenomics Inc.,
a tele-phone management and call accounting software vendor, among its successes in transaction-based
business-processes services and achieving its E-services initiative.
In this alliance,
HP and Telenomics provide complete transaction-based call accounting services to end-user customers.
It is based on a pay-per-use concept in which customers pay only for the services that they need and/or
use.
Telenomics has installed telephone call accounting systems on HP servers throughout the
United States since 1983. Its customers typically were mid-sized to large corporations with 100 to
10,000 telephone extensions. In recent years, however, this business has changed.
Recognized
for its proven software and customer interface, this Temecula, California-based company had extensive
experience with a highly successful application on HP servers. Telemonics' invaluable resource coupled
with the 7x24 availability, performance and reliability of the HP business servers adds up to one of
the most comprehensive call accounting/call management offerings in the industry.
HP brings to
this alliance world-class data centers staffed by experts on the HP 3000 and NT. This data center not
only features backups with offsite tape storage and backup power sources, all disk storage is on high
availability disk systems. HP offers high-speed Internet connections, security management and intrusion
detection. As each customer's requirements increase, HP provides the necessary additional servers and
disk storage.
